About Us

  who we are

We are part of the wider Climateers network of people from around the world who are taking action to help scale Food Waste solutions locally.

We are a team of staff and volunteers who leverage their skills and passions to support Businesses and Non Profit organizations scale their impact globally.

We do this by catalysing teamwork and collaboration and by helping these organizations access the finance and talent they need to win.

So come join one of our teams having fun and working with purpose-driven people like you to create the systemic change needed.

In each region, Climateers partners with organisations to run the event and the follow-up processes to support implementation of action plans and capability and capacity building to create better outcomes.

Starting with one climate solution in one location: Food Waste in Victoria

Climateers is based in Melbourne Australia with aspirations to contribute significantly to accelerating the implementation of Food Waste reduction solutions in local communities around the world. Our Theory of Change outlines our approach.

Food Waste has been chosen as our first climate solution as it has been identified by Project Drawdown as the primary lever that individuals and communities can pull to help solve the Climate Crisis.

Our primary strategy is running events that bring together the stakeholders working to reduce food waste.

We aim to reduce fragmented efforts by helping them identify other stakeholders and beginning the conversations that lead to collaborations.

Our Action Summits use the wisdom of the crowd to ‘hack’ short-term Action Plans to tackle the issues that hold back progress. In the process, we work to tackle complexity by simplifying into small actionable local activities.

Our Action Summits are also designed to foster engagement, build a sense of community and empower innovation and action.

Our mission

To rewrite the end of the climate crisis story by 2030.

Our vision

To create a regenerating world where we thrive and society and nature are healing.

Our story - Our 'who'

We are building a community of everyday heroes leaning into the climate crisis with their Skills, Passions, Assets and Networks.
